Flu Vaccinations

The flu vaccine helps protect against flu, which can be a serious or life-threatening illness. It’s offered on the NHS every year in autumn or winter to people at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu.

Who is eligible?

  • People who are pregnant
  • 2- and 3-year old’s (age on 31st August) – this will be a nasal spray vaccine
  • People aged 65 and over
  • People with long-term health conditions, from 6 months to under 65’s
  • People living with somebody with a weakened immune system due to a medical condition or treatment
  • People sleeping rough or in hostels/shelters
  • Care home residents
  • Carers (receiving carer’s allowance, or the main carer of an older or disabled person)
  • Frontline health and social care workers.

How do I book?

  • You will receive a text inviting you for a vaccine with a self-booking link, if you have a mobile and have given us permission to send you a text.
  • You can contact the surgery.

Pneumococcal Vaccinations

The pneumococcal vaccine helps protect against serious illnesses like pneumonia and meningitis.

Who is eligible?

The pneumococcal vaccine is recommended for babies, older people, and people at higher risk of getting seriously ill from pneumococcal infections.

How do I book?

We will contact you if you or your child are eligible for the pneumococcal vaccine. If you think you are or your child are eligible and have not been contacted, please contact the surgery.

RSV Vaccinations

The RSV vaccine helps protect against infection with RSV, a common virus that can make babies and older adults seriously ill.

Who is eligible?

  • People who are 28 weeks pregnant or more
  • People aged 75 or over
  • People aged 65 to 74 who have a weakened immune system or a long-term lung condition (this does not include asthma that is under control)
  • People who live in a care home for older adults

How do I book?

We will contact you if you are eligible for the RSV vaccine. If you think you are eligible and have not been contacted, please contact the surgery.

Shingles Vaccinations

The shingles vaccine helps protect against shingles, a common condition which causes a painful rash and can sometimes lead to serious health problems.

Who is eligible?

  • People aged 65 to 79
  • People aged 18 and over with a severely weakened immune system

We will contact you if you are eligible for the Shingles vaccine. If you think you are eligible and have not been contacted, please contact the surgery.

All babies and children, though each vaccine differs in recommended age.

How do I book?

A routine childhood immunisations clinic is held every Wednesday by our nursing team.

We will contact you if your child is eligible for a vaccine. If you think your child is eligible and have not been contacted, please contact the surgery.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

The COVID-19 vaccine helps protect against COVID-19, which can be a serious or life-threatening illness for some people. It’s usually offered on the NHS in spring and early autumn to people who need extra protection from COVID-19.

Who is eligible?

  • People who are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2027)
  • People aged from 6 months to 74 years who have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
  • People who live in a care home for older adults

You can get free NHS vaccinations, after completing a risk assessment form, to protect you from:

Please note: we do not offer any other travel vaccinations. These are now available at many pharmacies and health clinics, including Superdrug and Boots.
