Clinics & Services
The surgery offers a comprehensive range of healthcare and general practice care, in addition to the following services and special clinics:
Respiratory Clinic
The respiratory clinics are led by our nursing team and held for patients who suffer with asthma and/or chronic obstructive airways disease (COPD). You will be invited to attend a clinic if required. Spirometry
If requested by a clinician, our nursing team can perform spirometry (breathing) tests either at Breathing Space or here at the surgery.
Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) Clinics
The CHD clinics are led by our nursing team, with GP support, and held for patients who have heart disease, circulatory disease or have had a stroke. You will be invited to attend a clinic if required. Diabetic Clinic
The diabetic clinics are led by our nursing team, with GP support, and held for patients who are diabetic or pre-diabetic. You will be invited to attend a clinic if required. Minor Procedures
Minor procedures are carried out by the GP’s and our nursing team. These can include joint injections and cryotherapy. Please note that you will need to be assessed by a GP before an appointment is given.
Blood Tests
Blood test appointments are available Monday to Friday from 7:00am with our Phlebotomist and Nursing Team. These appointments will only be booked if a GP or Nurse has advised you to have a blood test.
Family Planning
A family planning service is available with a GP or a member of our nursing team. This includes contraceptive injections and oral contraceptives. For other forms of contraception, such as coils, patients will be signposted to The Sexual Health Clinic at Rotherham District General. For emergency “morning after” contraception, please visit your local pharmacy.

Cervical Screening (Smear Test)
A cervical screening is a test to help prevent cancer, led by our nursing team. All women aged 25 to 49 are invited for a cervical screening every 3 years and women aged 50 to 64 every 5 years to check the health of their cervix.
You will be invited to attend a clinic if required. If you think you are eligible for a cervical screening test and you haven’t received an invitation to book an appointment, please use our Accurx Triage Link or contact the surgery.

Post-Natal Clinics
Post-natal appointments and your baby’s 6- to 8-week check are carried out by a GP. You will be invited to attend a clinic following the birth and registration of your baby. If you think you and your baby need to be seen in this clinic and haven’t received an invitation, please use our Accurx Triage Link or contact the surgery.
Baby Immunisation/Vaccination Clinic
This is for routine childhood immunisations and is held every Wednesday by our nursing team. You will be invited to attend a clinic. If you think you and your baby need to be seen in this clinic and haven’t received an invitation, please use our Accurx Triage Link or contact the surgery.

Insurance Medicals and Non-NHS Services
Certain examinations and documents are not covered by the NHS so a fee will be charged. These include medicals for HGV licences, PSV licences, fitness for occupation, travel and sporting activities etc, holiday cancellation forms and some medical certificates and forms to be completed. All these services can be arranged via our Admin Lead who will inform you of the fee involved.
To request a document or enquire about a document fee, please submit an admin request online or contact the surgery.
Sick Certification
An employee can self-certify for short term illness (for the first seven days including weekends and bank holidays). After this, a Doctor’s Medical Certificate (Med3) is required, which can only be issued after a review with your GP. Any request from an employee or employer for a doctor’s certificate earlier than six days will be by private certificate, for which there will be a charge.
